For the best burn, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each use. This helps reduce soot, mushrooming, and an overly large flame.
On the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the full surface of the candle. This may take 2–4 hours, depending on the size of the candle. A full melt pool helps prevent tunneling and allows the candle to burn more evenly throughout its life.
For future burns, keep the candle lit long enough for the wax to melt close to the edges, but do not burn it for more than 4 hours at a time.
Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, fans, children, pets, and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended or move it while the wax is hot.
Keep the wax free of wick trimmings, matches, and other debris. Stop burning the candle when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container to help prevent the vessel from overheating.
Allow the candle to cool completely before trimming the wick, relighting, or handling the container.
